to abuse committed by a county governmental body

Did You Know...

    That domestic violence in Dallas County is serious problem?

  • In 2002, the City of Dallas Police Department reported receiving
    over 19,000 emergency 911 calls for help because of domestic violence.

  • In 2002, the City of Dallas Police Department had over
    16,500 cases for family violence offenses.

  • In 2002, the 18 deaths occurred in the City of Dallas
    as a result of family violence.

  • In 2002, that some cities and law enforcement agencies
    in Dallas County did not make family violence statistic available
    on their websites.

  • In 2002, some law enforcement agencies in Dallas County
    still did not require employees to receive family violence training
    even though professions like law enforcment have a higher than average
    history of family violence.

Did You Know...

    That in a survey done by NBC 5 - KXAS in September of 2003...

  • 95 percent were against a person with a history of
    domestic abuse being a police officer.

  • 2 percent were undecided.

  • And, just 3 percent thought it was okay.
